Well it has been a very busy week at our house and we haven't kept up very well on this blog site. Justin and Ashley were married on Saturday at Oak Hill Wedding Chapel about 45 minutes from Dubuque just outside of Apple River Illinois. everyone stayed in Galena. The wedding was planned to be outdoors in front of a little pond on the property but the weather at wedding time did not cooperate so it was moved inside the chapel, although it was not the original plan it was really nice reminded Penny and I a lot of our wedding in the Little Brown Church, Ashley was beautiful and everything went great, we had a really good dinner and there was a dance afterwards I don't think it could have gone better and the best part is they look so happy and we just love Ashley and her family so once again we are blessed. Nathan and Cory were in the wedding and Elisabeth did a reading and was also in charge of bubble distribution. I am so happy that we could all be at the wedding at one point when I was in the hospital we didn't think I would be able to attend so it was really an answer to prayers to just be there. If anyone wants to see what the place looks like where they were married I think you can look it up on the Internet google Oak Hill Weddings.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
First of all thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers over the last year. We have decided to create a blog to have an outlet for anyone who is interested in updates on Lances condition a place to come and be informed. The title of the blog "A future and a hope" comes from Jeremiah 29:11, which is a verse that has given our family alot of comfort through these challenging times. Because as my Dad has said, no matter what happens we have already won! I would encourage you to pass on the location of this site to anyone that you may believe would be interested in updates. -Justin
