First of all thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers over the last year. We have decided to create a blog to have an outlet for anyone who is interested in updates on Lances condition a place to come and be informed. The title of the blog "A future and a hope" comes from Jeremiah 29:11, which is a verse that has given our family alot of comfort through these challenging times. Because as my Dad has said, no matter what happens we have already won! I would encourage you to pass on the location of this site to anyone that you may believe would be interested in updates. -Justin

A Good Day!!!!

Happy Easter everyone!!! We found out some very exciting news this morning!! Dad is going home!! His platelets went up to 25 thousand last night so his doctor said that she feels comfortable with dad going home and just going to see his doctor there for treatment. His platelets are still at a very dangerous level but his doctor said if he is careful it should be manageable. He will be coming back down to Iowa City on Thursday to hopefully find out if any of the siblings are matches for a bone marrow transplant. He will also be getting more test and treatments done that day. This is such a big answer to prayer that he can go home today. My dad and mom have asked me to thank you once again for all your support and prayers. Our family has felt so humbled by all God's love and blessing during this time. Thanks!!
Elisabeth

  4. This such encouraging news and so appropriate for Easter. Drawing near to the throne of grace
with renewed prayers for a marrow match and continued recovery.

  5. We are praising the Lord with you and hoping for even better things. Gil will be flying out of Chicago this coming weekend and will be getting in touch either by phone or person (whichever is more appropriate at the time) before he heads to Spain. We know that He will work all things together for good...and we are trusting in that as we lift you before the throne of grace.

So thankful for every bit of good news we get from Nancy - she has been so faithful as she knows my love and concern for all of you. Jeremiah 29:11 is one of my favorite promises the Lord has given me and I surely claim it for
your family (Elisabeth is especially special to me!) My love and prayers, June Nailor
